Here's what you'll need:
  • Jewelry making tools (I used flat-nosed pliers, wire cutters, round-nosed pliers, chain-nosed pliers)
  • 2 french hooks (I've seen these also called "earwires" and "fish hooks" too)
  • 2 jump rings
  • 2 headpins
  • Beads of your choice

Step One: I like to lay everything out in the order it will be put together.
Step Two: String beads on headpin.
Step Three: Bend headpin at a 90 degree angle with pliers.

Step Four: With the round nosed pliers, continue to bend headpin to form a loop.
Step Five: With flat nosed pliers, flatten/straighten loop if needed.
Step Six: Trim excess wire with wire cutters.

Step Seven: With pliers open jump ring.
Step Eight: Add strand of beads and french hook to the ring.
Step Nine: Close jump ring (you may need a pair of pliers in each hand if it it hard to close.

All finished, enjoy wearing your earrings!
