My kitchen was in need of a festive new wreath, so I put together this sweet little cookie cutter wreath using materials I had on hand (don't you love when that happens?) Perfect for a pantry door, a kitchen window, or a wall too!
When I was going through all of the holiday stuff this year, I noticed that my enamel coated cookie cutters were looking chipped. I definitely didn't want paint chips in our cookies, but I didn't want to toss them either...problem solved!
Here's what you'll need:
- Grapevine wreath (any size, I used an 18")
- Ribbon (I used red and white burlap)
- Cookie cutters
- Hot glue
- Small piece of yarn or ribbon to make a hanging loop
Start by wrapping burlap around the wreath, I let a little grapevine wreath show, because I liked the way it looked. Secure with hot glue.
Next place the cookie cutters when you want them. I had to re-arrange mine a bit before I got them how I wanted. If you will be adding a bow later, leave a little room in your placement. Glue cutters down securely.
Last, add a little bow to the top or bottom. I kept mine simple, using some leftover burlap. A hanging loop is helpful...just tie a little yarn or ribbon on with a secure knot and you're finished! Lie flat and be sure to allow the glue adequate time to cool and dry before hanging.
